Welcome! There has been so very much talk about new music lately and so very much of that talk has been negative!Today I present all new music for your listening pleasure. And I do mean for your listening PLEASURE! I have found a lot to enjoy in today's Congolese music and I hope that you have also. No?Well, try a few of these songs on your ears, and on your hips my friends! There is some good variety in this program's set list. Not everything is exactly to my personal taste, but almost everything is something I've spun -and will probably continue to spin- at home or in my car again and again and again. Please do let me know your thoughts. Here are a few of the covers from CDs played this time.I should add that I have mistakenly referred to Baby and Vibration Schengen as Baby and Generation Schengen. WELCOME!Thanks for listening to Ambiance Congo. As we head on into Thanksgiving Day here in the USA, I hope you'll agree that I've loaded up your plate with some tasty morsels and great sebenes. The newer music this time is not really all that new, but the older music is more of what you've asked for here on Ambiance Congo.Did you ask? As always, your requests and comments are very welcome. Here's the link for this edition.

Welcome to Ambiance Congo! This time I had the honor of filling a good number of your requests. Not surprising to notice, all of these requests were for older music.Thrown in are a few of my own choices and songs from a couple of the better new releases that I've received as well.As a rule, your requests and suggestions always make for better programs and this one is no exception to that rule! Play it often, play it loud! Many requests for songs on Ambiance Congo are submitted via English language African music forums.Check the posts on these forums and check out the forums themselves. You might want to join! Here are some album covers from this edition of Ambiance Congo.

Welcome! An historic concert was held in Belgium on Friday night that celebrated 50 years of Congolese independence and 50 years of Congolese music. For those of us who could not attend, I played a number of the original versions of the songs in the original set list for the concert, songs chosen and performed by artists still with us today to represent the rich history of Congolese music. The concert was over four hours long and and I had only half that time for the program. I hope to give you here a taste of the inspiring music these artists had lined up to give their audience a night to remember.
