Fallout 4 No Fast Travel Mod

Posted By admin On 09.10.19

You use the unique NPC's mod. Keep the unique npc.esp enabled, but remove the Unique Npcs - Textures.ba from your data folder and see if you can fast travel into the institute.

The 7 Immersion Mods That Have a Permanent Place In My Fallout 4 Load Mod List. This fast travel mod adds in a repairable motorcycle that you can use primarily for fast travel. It also has some storage ability and houses some camping gear, which is greatly useful with survival mode's save system. Seven immersion mods that make Fallout 4.

If you still CTD while fast traveling, place the textures files back into your data and remove the Unique NPCs - Main.ba from your data folder and try to fast travel into the institute. If you can fast travel into the institute fine with main.ba removed, but the textures.ba installed, then it might be 2 files packed into main.ba folder causing the crashes, BaseFemaleBodyRustDevil1.nif and BaseFemaleBodyRustDevil2.nif. If so, you need to unpack main.ba and remove those 2 files, (possibly copy and rename BaseFemaleBodyRustDevil3.nif twice to replace the nifs you just deleted just for good measure)and repack it.That highlight is because I copy/pasted my same response.Edited by 4cednovel, 31 July 2017 - 10:32 AM. I'm not arguing or disagreeing, just curious. I'm sure @Thirdstorm would be aware of this issue if it is one?EDIT: found it in the mod thread.

Reading the convo nowEdited by JustDave11517, 31 July 2017 - 04:45 PM. After reading through Posts and Bugs (page2, very bottom) It looks like thirdstorm thinks its either a corrupt textures download (I dont have any NPC 'issues' aside from the red glowing foot glitch occasionally) Or a load order issue. Here a screenshot from Mikazu, but my game does something very similar on an female NPC in sanctuary named 'bottlecap'.

Fallout 4 Enable Fast Travel

Its ALWAYS her when it does occur.being that I don't suspect a bad texture download; would someone with more experience than myself take a closer look at my Load order and possibly help me get back into the institute? Ai spawn script arma 3

Also I could fast-travel to other places, which should cause crashes if it is the Ba2 or those nifs causing the problem. You might want to try out the posted solutions whether it be to download the texture pack again or remove the main.ba just to eliminate those as the possible issue.I'll give it a go and fresh download everything related to this mod this afternoon. And see where it get me first. But I think I'll save main.ba surgery as a last resort.

Fallout

It just seems the most complicated. The only thing I've ever done is make compatibility patches for Unique followers, and that was MUCH easier then deleting files from a.ba pack. I just don't want to mess it up, I've got a LOT of hours in this playthrough so far (its my first time playing the game as a whole). So I would HATE to lose it to something stupid I did by mistake as a result of not knowing what I'm doing and moving things around that I dont understand.

And for me it would be to checked saved files. But I'll give this a go if my re download doesn't magically solve anything. I'll keep the thread up to date. Fallrim tools can let you know which mod(s) is causing scripts to go feral, and it can stop the script running to rescue a save.you can also check your saves occasionally to see if they have become corrupted after adding or removing a mod or completing a quest, fast traveling or making vegetable starch.I think my problem was that I didn't sort the masters of mods that had multiple masters listed in the wrong order. Which is why my save was broken at the start.use wrye bash/flash to find out which mods need the masters sorted and then use FO4Edit to sort them.it doesn't take long and is definitely quicker than solving problems later (especially as you will probably need to sort the masters anyway after hours of trying other options) and you get to play the game instead of fixing it.

Zog's save file was most likely corrupt since it couldn't even load into Farim tools.I could fast travel everywhere fine except into the institute. You also don't have to unpack the main.ba file until you know it's for sure that its causing the issue. Troubleshooting the texture and main.ba is just as simple as cut/paste them different location temporarily to see if you can load into the institute.

If it turns out the the main.ba is the issue, just make a copy of the main.ba file before you unpack it, so you always have a back up. But I'll need JAVA on my gaming pc just to run this. Its not a big deal.

Just trying to keep it clean of otherwise useless things.

Hello vault dwellers! How many of you have played Fallout before without using Fast Travel?

I recently picked up a copy of the game for X1 (without DLC) and playing I’m going to challenge myself to not use Fast Travel at all.I thought about not using VATS either, but who doesn’t love a slow mo headshot?I’ve just ran into my first struggles where I reached Diamond City and need to travel back to sanctuary due to the fact that I have too much loot on my person, and Dogmeat cannot carry anymore. We will see how long it takes me to start throwing points into Strength to carry more weight.Any advise for a puddly, scrub vault dweller like myself? Much appreciated in advance! Also, what are some other self imposed rules have you used before that I may want to do in future playthroughs?. I did for awhile but found it really boring with the lack of enemies.

I did tend to stick to roads and railroads for navigating and usually found it safer.I play on pc and downloaded the mod called War of the commonwealth and it added lots of enemies and (almost) constant action. Xbox has a similar mod called Endless Warfare. After downloading the mod I now enjoy not fast traveling because I’m always having to try to sneak around large groups due to their strength, lack of ammo or find new a path all together.I’m not on survival difficulty.
